It’s been a long time since I have had the time and discipline to sit down and post about the incredible progress that the Yummy Tummy Farms team has made from late 2011 and up until May 2012. The progress is amazing and it has been a true exercise for me to pause, breathe, and simply “be” in the moment and allowing me time to reflect on my vision of Yummy Tummy Farms coming together.
I probably do not have to remind you about how easy it is to become transfixed with our own individual realities of day-to-day life; that is balancing: family, work, health/exercise, hobbies, and resting once-in-awhile. There are so many ways in which Yummy Tummy Farms is growing and in 2012, when and where possible, I will link my postings back to the core values and my vision for Yummy Tummy Farms. Lastly, I believe that a project, business, or serious hobby without written core values or a written vision can easily slide all over the place, communicate a lot of words, but never tell a meaningful story. Nevertheless, it is my goal to link my posts, as often as possible, back to my core values and vision to anchor and guide my work, writing, and posts. Lastly, while it is possible that my vision and core values for Yummy Tummy Farms may evolve, that is change, I have done my best to choose core values that can encompass all of the visions that I have Yummy Tummy Farms.
Here are my guiding core values for Yummy Tummy Farms:
- Promote Suburban Farming
- Increase Local Self Sustainability
- Reclaim Domesticity
Here is a picture that, for me, captures the hope that a Yummy Tummy Farms will grow into its core values.
