Yummy Tummy Farms is Open!

Yummy Tummy Farms will have an open Farmer’s Market selling honey, jam, fresh produce in the “U-Pick” format every weekend through the summer that is every Saturday, Sunday, and select holidays TBD from 11:00am to 4:00pm and other times by appointment starting tomorrow 7/14/2012. The farm is located at 5611 Doorn Lane in San Jose, CA 95118 and we can be reached by phone at 408-320-5365.  We are featuring zucchini, eggplants, peppers, herbs (rosemary, lemon balm, mint, cilantro) and much much more as the farm’s produce is ripening faster and faster everyday. Here are some beautiful examples of some of our offerings:

Bianca White Bell Pepper: Stunningly beautiful!

Orient Express Eggplant: classic shape, uniform color, delicious flavor- the real deal!

Kermit The Eggplant: It’s easy being green when you are this beautiful- wow!

  1. While I don’t grow veggies now, it is something I have been considering doing for awhile. Your blog has inspired me. Maybe I will make it happen, after all, if I can find a sunny spot. (We have lots of large oaks in our yard. Great for keeping cool, and collecting leaf mulch, but not so great for growing vegetables under.) Thanks for such an interesting blog.

    • You are so welcome! If you live locally to San Jose, CA be sure to drop by sometime and say hello.

      • I’m actually in central Florida, north of Orlando, so while we both share warm weather, our gardens are plagued by high humidity most of the year. Lots of problems resulting that you probably don’t have. But when I visit my daughter in San Diego, maybe we will take a trip up your way sometime. Lots to see around there, for sure. Thanks for the invite! And good luck with your farming.
